Compared to two weeks ago: Not enough comparable sales on yearlings due to the
light test before the holiday week. Steer and heifer calves too lightly tested
from the previous sale for a market trend, but a sharply higher undertone was
noted. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Quality was
mostly plain to average, but flesh conditions were favorable. Increased buyer
demand was noted on weaned light weight calves carrying favorable flesh
conditions. Trading activity was mostly active on good buyer demand.
