SC Farm Report on Wednesday
SC Livestock Auctions: No comparisons made due to limited comparable
sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 350-400 lbs 515.00, 550-600 lbs
445.00, 650-700 lbs 340.00-353.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1
300-350 lbs 460.00-480.00, 400-450 lbs 430.00-445.00, 500-550 lbs 395.00-
400.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 300-350 lbs 545.00-555.00, 350-
400 lbs 500.00, 550-600 lbs 380.00-440.00, 600-650 lbs 370.00. Slaughter
cows: Breaker 75-80% lean 169.00-176.00, Boner 80-85% lean 172.00, Lean
85-90% lean 142.00-152.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 180.00-
186.00, High Dressing 211.00.
Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs was 72.15. Sows live
price 300-450 lbs 47.13; 450-500 lbs 59.23; 500-550 lbs 59.74.
SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 1 cent higher, new crop bids 2
to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 5.31, processor bids 5.51-5.76. Soybean
bids were 9 cents higher; new crop bids 4 cents higher; elevator bids
11.47, and export 11.97. Wheat bids were mixed, 7 cents lower to 1 cent
higher; elevator bids 6.02, and processors 5.16.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 47
cents lower at 77.20.
