Compared to the previous week, receipts on feeder cattle were lower due to
recent storms and much-needed rainfall moving through the area. On a limited
test, feeder steers sold $10.00 to $15.00 higher, while feeder heifers traded
steady to $7.00 higher. Feeder cattle weighing over 500 lbs were not well
tested, as offerings consisted primarily of lightweight calves. Demand for
feeder cattle remains strong. Slaughter cattle sold steady to $5.00 lower.
