Compared to the auction from two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers under 700
lbs steady, with weights over 700 lbs steady to 5.00 higher. More fleshy
cattle in the mix this week, but that is understandable at these prices where
one extra pound of beef is equivalent to one bushel of corn. Plenty of rain
around the area has haulted planting and started talk about how many acres may
need to be replanted because of flooded fields.
