FEEDER CATTLE 4211 11311 0
Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 5.00 higher except 600-700lbs
10.00 lower in a light test. Feeder heifers 4.00-8.00 lower, but the heifer
market did improve as the sale progressed. Steer calves not enough number 1
cattle to set a trend but a lower undertone noted. Heifer calves 15.00-20.00
higher due to 6 or 8 big drafts of thin heifers that sold very well. Small
drafts of heifers had a lower undertone. Scattered showers lingered throughout
the day, but measureable rainfall remained limited across much of the trade
area. Cattle futures traded sharply higher today following the significant
declines late last week.
