Compared to last Wednesday the feeder market was spotty with an average quality
offering. Feeder steers 600 lbs and under were steady to 4.00 lower in spots,
while steers over 600 lbs were 4.00 to 6.00 higher with good demand for weaned
and harder conditioned calves. Feeder heifers 400 lbs and under were 4.00 to
6.00 higher, while heifers over 400 lbs were 4.00 to 6.00 lower with a good
supply and spotty demand. Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 lower with a good
supply and slaughter bulls were steady with good demand.
