Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 10.00-15.00 higher. Steer
calves 10.00-20.00 higher. Heifer calves 5.00-15.00 higher. Demand is good.
Quality average to attractive with several light fleshed cattle included.
Cattle futures continue higher and are even higher from our opening report as
the never ending reality of limited supplies still looms. March winds blew
strong yesterday bringing back numerous fires across the state. Temperatures
also dropped, reminding us winter is not done yet. Summer like weather will be
here later in the week and highs expected in the mid 90's. Rain is not in the
forecast till the end of March.
