Compared to last Monday the feeder market was spotty but stronger in spots with
an average quality offering. Feeder steers 600 lbs and under were mostly
steady to 5.00 higher in spots with a moderate supply and good demand, while
the yearling steers appeared firm with a lite test. Feeder heifers 300-500 lbs
were mostly steady, while the 500-600 lbs heifers were 4.00 to 6.00 lower and
the 600-700 lbs heifers were 6.00 to 8.00 higher with a good supply and good
demand for long weaned and pre-conditioned calves. Slaughter cows and bulls
were steady with a good supply and good demand.
