Compared to last week:  best test on steers 700 to 749 lbs 5.00 lower, 750 to 
949 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 5.00 higher on 850 to 899 lbs.  Best 
test on heifers 650 to 699 lbs 10.00 lower and 800 to 849 lbs steady.  A large 
offering of feeder cattle today.  Many loads, including multiple loads of same 
weight cattle, and packages of both backgrounded and home raised cattle 
available and met with good to very good demand.  The majority of cattle today 
were finishing kind of cattle with very few green, grass or backgrounding types 
on offer.  Flesh condition mostly moderate to heavy with quite a few cattle 
carrying tag.  Most cattle were average to attractive in quality with lots of 
colored cattle available.  A mostly active market despite a weak close on the 
futures complex today and volatility throughout the week.  Next feeder cattle 
sale is Friday, March 13.
