Compared to last week, receipts of feeder cattle increased considerably, with
several drafts of weaned calves offered. Stocker steers weighing 300-500 lbs.
traded $8.00-$10.00 higher, with several offerings carrying good condition.
Feeder steers weighing 600-800 lbs. traded $15.00 lower. Heifers were generally
plainer in quality this week and met lighter demand, trading $12.00-$15.00
lower. On a light test, slaughter cows traded $5.00-$10.00 lower, while
slaughter bulls traded steady.
