Compared to last Monday feeder steers sold steady on high quality, weaned, and
vaccinated. Feeder steers that were plainer, fleshy, and off colored sold 4.00
to 8.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold 4.00 to 8.00 lower. Good demand for the high
quality, weaned, and vaccinated part of the offering. Light to moderate demand
for the plainer, fleshy, and off colored part of the offering. CME futures
trending downward over the past few days has put downward pressure on the
market. Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady. There was moderate demand
for slaughter classes.
