Compared to last Tuesday feeder steers unevenly steady with 400-500 lbs steady
to 5.00 lower with more fleshy short-weaned calves on offer; 500-700 lb steers
sold steady to 5.00 higher with very good demand. Yearling steers limited
comparison. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold unevenly steady; over 600 lbs
sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher with very good demand for yearling packages. Buyers
showing preference for long-weaned thin-fleshed calves suitable for grass.
Slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower with moderate to good demand under heavy
supply. Slaughter bulls sold steady with very good demand.
