Compared to last week the feeder market was stronger with an average quality
offering. Feeder steers and heifers 300 lbs and under appeared firm with a
light test, while the 400-600 lbs calves were 3.00 to 8.00 higher or greater in
spots with a good supply and good demand for weaned and harder conditioned
calves. Yearling steers and heifers appeared stronger as well with a good
supply and good demand. Slaughter cows and bulls appeared stronger with a
good supply and good demand, however no trends due to last weeks light test.
