Compared to last week receipts were lower due to the Memorial Day holiday
closures. Feeder and yearling cattle were reported mixed. The first half of
the week steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower with moderate to good
demand. The last half were steady to 5.00 higher with good supply and good
demand. Best interest was for weaned packages and groups. Slaughter cows and
bulls sold mixed with prices reported from 4.00 to 4.00 higher spread
throughout the week. There was good supply and good demand for all slaughter
classes.
