Compared to the last report, movement has increased.
The demand for hay all over Oregon is good with most producers having
some sales.
A few contracts are being made but most hay being sold is in small loads
at a time.
Some parts of Oregon are seeing drought and they are seeing ranchers
start to buy hay to get ready to feed when the drought gets worse.
According to the U.S.
Drought Monitor, there is abnormally dry to severe dry soil conditions
all over Oregon.
According to the National Weather Service website, Precipitation has
been far lower than normal for this time of year and temperatures have
been a little higher than normal.
According to NASS National Crop Progress Report, 20% of winter wheat
has been harvested, pasture and range is 27% good condition.
