The first winter weather of the year arrived across the state this past week.
Some areas in the north received over 10 inches of snow.
This along with much cooler temperatures had everyone out feeding.
As always, the first snow provided a slight boost to hay movement and demand.
The supply of hay is moderate to heavy and at this time there isn't any
concerns with feed availability.
There has been some slight improvement in the drought monitor but over
of the state is still listed in some stage of drought.
Even though the growing season is over winter moisture is needed before
spring arrives.
Prices are mostly steady.
