Compared to last week's higher market, steer calves under 550 lbs sold
5.00-15.00 lower but it was hard to tell as those cattle saw very good demand
and those over 550 lbs sold steady. Heifer calves sold steady to firm,
yearlings weren't tested. Demand was good for a light to moderate supply.
Cattle futures roared back Wednesday after a rough end to last week, injecting
some confidence back into the market. Slaughter cows sold 3.00-5.00 lower than
last week's higher market.
