Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady despite not quite
reaching some of the highs achieved on last week's bigger run. However, some
replacement quality heifers sold with a higher undertone with a square load of
665 lb heifers @ 442.5 particularly impressive. Supply was moderate and
included some stand out consignments of grazing cattle that are still finding
excellent demand as grass buyers finish up. Overall, demand was good. Slaughter
cows sold steady to 3.00 lower, bulls 2.00-4.00 higher.
