Compared to the last special replacement sale in May, bred cows and pairs sold
500.00-700.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate to heavy supply. The
quality of the offering was above average with several large consignments of
young cows and bred heifers. The top pairs were a package of six black-hided
cows, bred back in the first or second stage, with 300 lb. calves at their
side. They sold for $5,300 per pair. The top bred cows were a package of 18
black-hided cows, averaging 1,312 lbs., in the second or third stage, which
sold for $4,700 per head. The top bred heifers were a package of 24 black-hided
heifers in the third stage. Averaging 1,077 lbs., they sold for $4,400 per head.
