SLAUGHTER CATTLE 266 354 377
Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Demand was good on
a moderate supply. The top slaughter bull sold for 242.00/cwt. and the top
slaughter cow sold for 193.00/cwt. On the replacement side the top pair sold
for 4800.00/pair and the top bred cow sold for 4100.00/head. The receipts were
lighter than last week due in part to the drier weather which is allowing
producers to get into the hayfields.
