Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand was good on
a light supply. The quality of the offering was average with replacement
animals outnumbering slaughter animals almost 2-1. The top slaughter bull sold
for 220.00/cwt. and the top slaughter cow sold for 189.00/cwt. The top bred
cows sold for 3900.00/head and the top pairs sold for 3800.00/pair. Spring like
weather has brought a lot of lookers and buyers ringside in search of
replacement cows and bred heifers.
