**PRE-VAC SALE NEXT TUESDAY ON 9-2-25 300-400 HEAD EXPECTED SALE STARTS @11AM**
This week's cattle receipts were up compared to last week, indicating increased
movement and interest in the market. Feeder Steers and Bulls traded steady on
good demand, with consistent buyer interest. Feeder Heifers saw stronger demand
this week, trading $10.00-$15.00 higher. The uptick in heifer prices appears to
be driven by two key factors: Producers are actively working to rebuild cow
herds, boosting demand for quality replacement heifers, and Limited supply on
steers has tightened, shifting buyer focus toward heifers. Slaughter Cattle
traded steady on a light test, with relatively few head offered.
Replacement-quality cows were in very short supply, limiting overall activity
in that segment of the market. Market tone remains strong, with continued
interest in quality feeder cattle and growing attention toward rebuilding herds.
