Compared to last week, this marked the second sale of the year with total
receipts slightly lower. Quality offerings were present on both weaned and
unweaned calves; however, fewer weaned calves were offered this week. Feeder
cattle sold on strong demand, steers and bulls trading steady to $8.00 higher,
while feeder heifers traded steady to $7.00 higher. Slaughter cattle sold
steady to $5.00 higher. Replacement cattle offerings were limited and of plain
quality.
