Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady. Demand was
moderate for a light supply. The majority of the fall calves have already been
marketed and the market has seen a slight downturn following last week's
bearish Cattle On Feed report. If there was a decent stretch of dry weather,
most producers would like to turn their attention to putting up some hay and
finishing up fieldwork. Slaughter cows sold steady to 5.00 higher.
