Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand
was moderate to good for a moderate supply. Cash fed cattle have been selling
higher this week and cattle futures have been supportive. Big rains over
basically the last month have the pastures lush and green and the ponds full
but have also kept the farmers out of the field and there's still a lot of
spring field work yet to be done. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 higher.
