Compared to last month's sale, feeder lambs were 7.00 higher and slaughter
lambs were 20.00-40.00 higher. Feeder goats were 10.00-20.00 lower with
slaughter goats uneven from 10.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Demand was very good
on a heavy supply. Receipts at Producers Auction Yards continue to average
near 3,000 head a sale and Saturday night was no exception with 3,052 head
coming through the ring, bringing the monthly total to 5,963. The offering
consisted of several large drafts of feeders and slaughter animals as well as
some high-quality replacements. The top replacement ram sold for 1150.00/head
while the top replacement ewes were a draft of 10 head which sold for
370.00/head. The top buck sold for 525.00/head with the top doe selling for
225.00/head. Bidding was brisk throughout the sale with a large crowd ringside
along with several online buyers as well.
