SLAUGHTER CATTLE 72 105 45
Compared to the last special three weeks ago, steer calves on a limited
offering from the last special weighing under 600 lbs sold with a lower
undertone, feeder steers weighing over 650 lbs sold steady to firm on
comparable sales. Heifer calves weighing 500-550 lbs sold fully steady to firm
with three pot loads (240 hd) of heifers averaging 679 lbs off the same
consignment three weeks ago sold 13.00 lower, over 700 lbs were not tested.
Slaughter cows sold steady with last week's bred cow sale. Overall a nice
quality offering of eight pot loads of yearlings all selling with good demand
with several consignments of unweaned calves in the mix (mostly steers) and a
nice offering of 500-550 lb heifers.
