Compared to last week, feeder heifers weighing up to 600 lbs. sold sharply
lower with those weighing over 600 lbs. mostly steady. Feeder bulls weighing
up to 550 lbs. sold unevenly steady with those weighing over 550 lbs. sharply
lower. No market trends could be established for feeder steers due to limited
comparable receipts, but a lower undertone was noted. Lower-quality feeder
offerings was noted along with significant discounts on feeders carrying excess
flesh. Slaughter cows sold 4.00 to 11.00 higher with strong demand noted, and
slaughter bulls sold mostly steady.
