Compared to the last reported sale two weeks ago, steer and heifer calves under
700 lbs sold 15.00-25.00 higher and heavier weights sold mostly steady. Demand
was good to very good for a moderate supply at the Annual Customer Appreciation
sale. A snow storm Monday likely affected receipts, but it is well documented
that there are fewer cattle in the country. Cattle futures have surged over the
Thanksgiving holiday. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady.
