Compared to last week, and based on a lighter test this week, Feeder Steers
could not be established due to a lack of comparable receipts. Feeder heifers
sold 12.00 to 25.00 lower, with the exception of 3-weights 35.00 to 80.00 lower
and weak demand noted. Feeder bulls weighing up to 450 lbs. sold 5.00 to 30.00
higher and good demand noted, with those weighing 450-550 lbs. 12.00 to 15.00
lower, and those over 550 lbs. unevenly steady. Overall lower prices on feeder
cattle due to the recent downturn in the feeder cattle futures market.
Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 8.00 lower overall with slaughter bulls 10.00 lower.
