Based on limited comparisons with last week, feeder steers unevenly steady.
Feeder heifers under 600 lbs steady to 5.00 lower, over 600 lbs 3.00-5.00
higher. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good. Supply light. The latest
administration talk about addressing high beef prices rocked the board Friday
and sent the most recent feeder index down over 3.00/cwt although futures
contracts have seen a modest rebound to start the week.
