Nonfat Dry Milk - West U.S.

The momentum of low/medium-heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) prices in the West 
continued into Week 39, with a bullish tone reflected in the price range 
increasing 10 cents on both the top and bottom compared to last week. The 
mostly range also increased on both ends. High-heat NDM followed the same 
trend, with a marginal increase at the bottom of the range and a 13 cent 
increase at the top compared to last week - more than 27 cents higher than a 
month ago.
Demand continues to outpace supply, and manufacturers report consistent 
production schedules with plants operating at optimal capacity. Current 
production volumes are reportedly committed under contract, and new spot 
availability is not expected until at least late October in the Southwest 
region. The Northwest region projects limited availability in mid-November.
