Dry Whey - West U.S.

Released on September 18, 2025

Dry whey prices moved higher at the bottom end of the range and lower at the
top end of the range in the West. Both ends of the mostly price series moved 2
cents higher. Demand from domestic and international buyers varies from steady
to lighter. Manufacturers convey their inventories are tight for availability
of spot loads, especially for preferred brands. Some manufacturers in the
region are heavily focused on fulfilling contractual sale agreements, but
traders indicate loads are available. Dry whey manufacturers are running steady
production schedules with sufficient volumes of liquid whey from cheese
production.
