Dry whey prices moved higher across all facets of the range and mostly price 
series in the West. Domestic demand is stronger. Demand from international 
buyers varies from steady to somewhat stronger. Spot load availability is 
generally tighter. Some manufacturers convey their available inventory for spot 
purchasing will be extremely tight throughout the remainder of Q2. Cheese 
production is providing ample amounts of liquid whey for sweet whey, whey 
protein concentrate, and whey protein isolate manufacturers. Dry whey 
production schedules are steady. However, some manufacturers are only running 
Extra Grade dry whey production, while others are running Grade A dry whey 
production as well.
