Dry Whey - West U.S.

Released on March 12, 2026

In the West, dry whey prices are unchanged at the bottom end and increased at
the top end of the range this week. For the mostly price series, the bottom end
decreased 1 cent, while the top end increased 1 cent. Some stakeholders convey
that demand for whey proteins is keeping sweet whey prices somewhat anchored.
Domestic demand varies from light to steady. Export demand varies from moderate
to strong. Cheese production continues to provide ample amounts of liquid whey
to keep dry whey manufacturing schedules steady in the region.
