AMS_1046 MARS Dry Whey - West U.S. Released on March 05, 2026 In the West region, week 10 dry whey prices decreased at both ends of the range and mostly price series. Stakeholders indicate seasonal production increases of some Class II and whey commodities are strengthening domestic demand, but not rapidly. Demand from international buyers varies from somewhat lighter to steady. Dry whey production schedules are stable. Cheese production is providing steady liquid whey volumes for sweet whey, whey protein concentrate (WPC), and whey protein isolate (WPI) manufacturing. Heavy demand and strong market prices for WPCs and WPIs are pulling the focus away from sweet whey production for some manufacturers.
