Dry buttermilk prices moved slightly lower on both ends of the range in the 
West this week. The top of the mostly price series moved 1 cent higher. Dry 
buttermilk demand is steady from both domestic and international buyers. Some 
stakeholders convey demand from producers of bakery goods is down thus far in 
2025 compared to last year. Contractual obligations are being met. Spot load 
availability is somewhat tight in the region. Dry buttermilk production is 
seasonally lightening. Manufacturers indicate enough liquid and/or condensed 
buttermilk is available to meet their needs.
