The buttermilk powder (BMP) market began experiencing some of the volatility 
previously seen in the nonfat dry milk (NDM) market this week. The price range 
dropped significantly at the bottom this week, while the top of the range 
experienced a slight decrease. The mostly range dropped at both ends as well. 
Some sellers were able to secure sales near the top of last week's range but 
more sales were secured below last week's range. With butter manufacturers 
operating busy schedules there is plenty of liquid buttermilk available for 
drying, but manufacturers continue to prioritize NDM. Inventories remain very 
tight.
