Dry Buttermilk - West U.S.

Released on May 22, 2025

Dry buttermilk prices contracted for the range in the West. The mostly price
series moved 1 cent lower on both ends of the range. Domestic demand is steady.
Demand from international buyers is somewhat stronger. A few manufacturers note
they are unable to accommodate further spot load requests for the remainder of
Q2. Traders indicate load availability has been tightening, but spot buyers can
find loads to fill their needs. Butter production is active and producing
adequate amounts of liquid buttermilk for drying. Dry buttermilk production
schedules vary from steady to lighter with the holiday weekend.
