Dry Buttermilk - West U.S.

Released on April 23, 2026

In the West, the dry buttermilk (BMP) price range is unchanged. The mostly
price series increased 5 cents at both ends. Some stakeholders indicate the
prices of contractually committed loads going to buyers outside the country are
dampening potentially larger domestic price increases. No changes in demand
from buyers in or outside the country are noted this week. Butter production is
providing plenty of liquid buttermilk to accommodate available open drying
capacity. Dry buttermilk schedules are steady. Spot load availability is
tighter. Some stakeholders note they are receiving contractual loads of BMP
with more recent production dates.
