Butter - West U.S.

Released on June 25, 2025

Increasing summer temperatures are having a negative impact on availability and
causing cream volumes to tighten in the West. Demand for cream is strong in the
region. Plant managers say they are actively churning, but some note limited
cream availability is preventing them from running full schedules. Demand for
butter is steady to lighter in domestic markets. Butter produced domestically
is competitively priced compared to international loads, contributing to strong
export demand.
