Butter - West U.S.

Released on June 11, 2025

Cream volumes are described as steady or slightly tighter for week 24. That
said, butter makers convey cream volumes remain sufficient to cover needs, but
not robustly available throughout the region. Cream multiples are in line with
the prior week. Butter production is somewhat mixed. Many plant managers are
running churns seven days a week. However, some butter producers convey churns
are not running seven days a week at all their facilities. Butter manufacturers
are building inventory to cover demands throughout the remainder of 2025. In
some cases, butter producers note inventory building paces as lighter than this
time last year due to the strong export demand for US butter, which remains
competitively priced for international buyers. Domestic demand is steady.
