AMS_1091 MARS Butter - West U.S. Released on May 21, 2025 Milk production continues to provide plenty of cream for West region manufacturers. Cream volumes are sufficiently available for butter producers to secure. However, cream load prices increased during May thus far as milk production decreased week-over-week for some parts of the region. Stakeholders note butter churning varies from strong to lighter as the holiday weekend is nearing. Manufacturer inventories are generally increasing to various degrees. Domestic demand is noted as steady or somewhat stronger. Stakeholders anticipate the upcoming holiday weekend to positively contribute to food service sector demand, which is less robust than retail demand. Demand from international buyers is strong.
