Delivery of contractual volumes to butter manufacturing facilities are being met. Spot loads of cream are available, but demand from butter makers is moderate, partly due to prices for cream loads. Butter churns are active and back to busier seven day a week production following the holiday weekend. Domestic demand varies from steady to strong for bulk butter loads and from the retail sector. Some manufacturers report butter sales are up year over year. Export demand is strong. However, more challenging logistics and/or costs are causing hesitation for some international buyers.
