AMS_1039 MARS Whole Milk Powder - Oceania Released on May 21, 2026 Whole milk powder (WMP) prices increased at both ends of the range this reporting period. Processor prices strengthened compared to the previous month, but were down from the same period last year. WMP futures held steady for May and improved across remaining contracts. A major New Zealand dairy cooperative also reported that its projected total WMP offering for the next 12 months remains unchanged. WMP prices at Global Dairy Trade (GDT) Event 404 increased across all offered contract periods. June through September contracts were each up between 0.6 percent to 1.8 percent, while no product was offered for October or November. July and August accounted for 64 percent of total sales. Sales volumes were higher than Event 403, but noticeably lower than year earlier levels. North Asia was the leading buyer, followed by Southeast Asia/Oceania and South/Central America. North Asia accounted for 53 percent of the volume, up from 35 percent at the previous auction but below 38 percent a year earlier. The Middle East purchased 1 percent of the WMP on offer. At GDT Event 404 on May 19, 2026, the average WMP price index climbed to $3,772/MT, a 1.2 percent increase from the previous event. The June contract averaged $3,773/MT, increasing 1.8 percent.
