Whole Milk Powder - Oceania

Released on March 12, 2026

Oceania whole milk powder (WMP) prices strengthened across the range as
seasonal milk production tapered and trading activity improved. Processor
prices rose month over month yet remain below year ago levels. Export
performance weakened, driven by softer Asian demand outside China and sharply
lower shipments to North Africa. The domestic futures curve strengthened across
all contracts and sellers reported higher offer volumes amid easing export
demand.

WMP prices strengthened across all offered contracts at Global Dairy Trade
(GDT) Event 399, with April-July deliveries increasing by up to 5.6 percent; no
product was offered for August or September. Sales volume slipped from Event
398 and remained below levels seen at Event 375 a year ago. North Asia
purchased 39 percent of the WMP on offer, down from 41 percent at the prior
event but above 34 percent a year earlier. Southeast Asia/Oceania bought 26
percent and Africa accounted for 11 percent.
