AMS_1038 MARS Skim Milk Powder - Oceania Released on September 10, 2026 Skim milk powder (SMP) prices increased at both ends of the range this reporting period. Processor prices were up from both last month and year-ago levels, with a 41 percent year-over-year (YoY) improvement. Last week SMP futures weakened for all months from September through February, except for November, which was up 0.1 percent. SMP exports from New Zealand were stronger in July, up 3 percent YoY and up 5 percent year-to-date. There was a 31 percent increase in SMP volumes shipped to Asia, excluding China, but a 20 percent decrease in shipments to the Middle East, while Chinese purchases were down 50 percent. SMP prices at Global Dairy Trade (GDT) Event 411 increased across all offered contract periods by up to 5.8 percent. No product was offered for February or March. November and December accounted for 80 percent of total sales. Total SMP volume sold was higher than Event 410 and year-earlier levels. Southeast Asia/Oceania was the top buyer, purchasing 43 percent of the total volume, which was up from the previous event and year-ago levels. North Asia followed with 35 percent and Europe with 12 percent.
