Prices for Oceania cheddar cheese held firm during the recent reporting period. 
Steady domestic demand contributed to prices remaining flat at both ends of the 
price range. Weaker international demand for milk powders is diverting more 
milk to cheese manufacturing, resulting in strong production even as milk 
output begins to decline seasonally.

Recently released export data from New Zealand showed November 2025 cheese 
export volumes were 37,309 MT, an increase of 2.2 percent from the year prior. 
Export volumes of cheese from January - November 2025 were 375,248 MT, up 11.4 
percent from the same time frame a year ago.
