Butter - East U.S.

Released on December 24, 2025

Butter production in the East is increasing this week. With many plants
planning downtime during the holiday break, some facilities, especially butter
plants, are taking in extra loads of milk and cream. Contacts indicate churns
are operating near capacity seven days a week to build inventory for 2026.
Retail demand for butter is steady, higher than this time last year,
predominantly due to lower prices. Inventories of retail and food service size
packaging are low, but with increased production volume, are expected to
increase. Export demand of butter is steady.

Prices for: East, All First Sales, F.O.B., Grade AA, Edible Butter
