Butter production remains seasonally slow in the Northeast. Manufacturers are 
taking advantage of higher cream multiples and sending cream to Class II and 
Class III producers rather than the churn. Cream multiples in the Northeast 
will not change this week. With slower churn activity and other commodity 
manufacturing slowing, cream is readily available for spot purchasing. Contacts 
report slower sales of retail and food service size packages. Bulk butter sales 
remain slow with reported sales at or below the CME. International sales are 
slow this week. Inventories of bulk butter remain healthy.
